18 travelling alone without friends
Quote from SunshineJo on November 4, 2024, 11:52 pmI love travelling and i'm soon to be 18, and before i go to uni ive always wanted to travel except none of my friends are interested. Is it worth going by myself? Im a very social person and i'm really not that shy when it comes to meeting new people but i'm not sure if ill feel out of place being the youngest on the trip? Is it worth it? Im thinking South America places like Brazil, Argentina, Peru.

Quote from Danni on November 8, 2024, 11:31 pmI booked my first tour (and overseas trip for that matter) when I was 19 and travelling solo. I too was hesitant because of my age and going alone but decided not to let it hold me back. Companies like Contiki are designed for 18-35 year olds so the travellers should expect a variety of ages.
If you go with the right attitude (which you seem to have) and be open minded you wont regret it! I'd say if its something you want to do, go for it! I did, now im looking forward to my next adventure next June despite my age and travelling solo =)
Goodluck!
