Asia 6 month itinerary advice
Quote from Teresa22 on November 13, 2024, 12:17 pmHey guys, so I am planning on travelling next year for 5-6 months, roughly from September-February.
Even though this is quite a while away, I have started some basic research to decide on which countries I want to go to and for how long I will be staying in each one.
Just some quick info about myself, I am female and from England, and will be 22 upon leaving on my expedition. I will be travelling solo, and I will be doing a mixture of group tours and soloing depending on the country.
I am interested in going off the beaten track a bit, experiencing culture, going to temples and doing outdoor activities. I also want to try and be budget-friendly.
Here is a rough list of the countries I'm planning to go to, and for how long. I'm thinking of starting in Sri Lanka, and then kind of working my way through the listed countries, until I end up in Cambodia.
Please let me know what you think of it, and if there are any countries that you think I should include/omit, places I must see, or if you think I should alter the amount of time i'm staying in any of the countries.Tips of any sort would be greatly appreciated!
- Sri Lanka - 3 weeks
- India - 5/6 weeks
- Nepal - 2/3 weeks
- China - 5/6 weeks
- Tibet - 2 weeks
- Mongolia - 2 weeks
- Laos - 2 weeks
- Thailand - 2 weeks
- Cambodia - 2 weeks
(I am omitting Vietnam as I have already been there)
- Also, from research it seems like it would be easier to re-enter China a couple of times eg. from China I will go to Tibet, then back into China and into Mongolia, and then once again in China. Does this sound about right?
Thank you!!
