CONTIKI SINGLE ROOM OR TWIN SHARE? ANY ADVICE?
Quote from CatherineOz on November 15, 2024, 12:35 pmHey guys, Im 23, single be doing a European vista tour.
Just a general question here.
I have read a few comments from people saying they wish they had booked single rooms on their previous trips. I have heard that it can isolate you from everyone but at the same time it would be good to have a place to chill out in after a long day.
Could anyone advise whether it would be a good idea to book a single?
any advise would be great. cheers ; ) lex

Quote from gbaa on November 15, 2024, 1:59 pmI've done four tours and all were twin rooms. I think if I was to go again (and had the money) I would go single.
I don't think you'll be isolated if you make an effort to speak to others, go out with them etc. Most of the time you will be surrounded by people so, it might be nice to have some peace and quiet when you go to bed.
Just think, there'll be no one barging in on you, no one to hog the bathroom or remote and no one to share space with LOL! Just make sure you take a good alarm clock because sleeping alone also means there will be no one to help you get up!

You could get a roomate that snores, farts, really bad hygiene etc. or you could get a roomate who is quiet as a mouse, you have a alot in common, and might end up becoming a really good friend as is my case. My first tour had a roomate that was great guy but snored and partied more than I wanted to. My second tour my roomate was great. He was quiet and I slept like a champ. Unfortunately we had nothing in common, and really did'nt even like each other, but he was a great roomate.
