Do Summer Camps Have Wifi?
Quote from Macaela223 on October 29, 2024, 10:18 pmHey.
When at a camp how do we get to keep in touch with people at home and go online? Aren't camps in really rural places? Is there even internet access? I can't go a day without internet :O

Quote from gabi on October 30, 2024, 2:41 pmAt most camps you will have at least semi-regular access to the net. Most camps have Wifi especially for the staff to use on their time off 🙂 Get your friends and family to write you snail mail when you're at camp too, its sooo fun to actually get something in the post!! And you can get eSims that are reasonably cheap to call home on. Plenty of options so you won't be in the wilderness.

Quote from eddy on October 30, 2024, 11:55 pmMost camps don't let you use your phone when working and have limited Wi-Fi access. You do get time off though when you can use your phone/laptop/tablet but usually in the main buildings or staff common areas. Remember every camp is different though and I think some of the private/more luxurious/expensive camps will have much better coverage/options.
Also remember camp is a great way to make friends, chat to people and get off your phone. This might sound crazy, but when you get to camp you will understand.

Quote from jake on November 20, 2024, 2:21 pmEach camp is different on communication 'with the outside world'. Some will only have WI'FI access for certain times out of working whilst  others are more flexible. My camp didn't let us use our phones in the daily routine but we could at night and nights off etc.
