Do I need a student visa to study in Spain?

Hi Guys im a 25 year old from Australia and am going on a bit of a world trip next month, the firsy stop is Europe where i plan to hit a few places i missed last time then the plan was to Study in Spain i would like to get a full 3 to 4 months of study in but by the time i reach Spain i would have already spent a month or 2 in western Europe so i were wondering what is the visa i need to apply for and is it relatively easy to get?

You will need to be accepted in a course before you can apply for a student visa. And it's best to apply for a student visa in your home country. Embassy websites are the best places to seek information on these sorts of issues.

Also assuming you only have an Australian passport, you will be subject to schengen rules in (most of) western Europe, including Spain - basically 90 days in 180 days. For most visas you need to apply in your home country so you need to check the Spanish Embassy Australia website. Good luck.

Also if you haven't yet found a course this is a good guide to the best Spanish schools in Spain.
