Do I really need a money belt?
Quote from SunshineJo on November 4, 2024, 11:45 pmHi, I've heard on various travel forums that people take money belts to hold their money/passport etc... Do you think this is needed though?? Because I guess if someone stole my bag with all my money and my passport in, that would be pretty bad... :-/

I've never used a money belt while travelling but I have to say, pickpocketing is way more prevalent in Europe. When I went last summer, I only felt the need to wear one in Paris. However, I don't think you have to worry about pickpockets as much in other places.
