Is Baret Scholars legit?

I came across this program called Beret Scholars who do a round the world global type gap year experience which I was very interested in. BUT... then I saw the price was $70-$90,000! There is no way I could afford this but when I got in touch the price dropped to around $25,000 which is better but this made me a bit suspicious, like a $50k reduction?! Is this a bit of a scam? Has anyone actually done it before and can you let me know?
