Kenya, Tanzania or South Africa which is better?

I want to volunteer on my gap year and I've always wanted to go to Africa and go on a safari. I've found similar projects in these countries but is any one best or anywhere to avoid? Its my first time and I will be travelling alone so safety is a top priority.

That really is a tough decision. I would recommend South Africa because Cape Town is spectacular and the Kruger NP is somewhere you have to visit. Maybe check which project you like most before deciding and check reviews from past participants.
