Quote from Danni on November 8, 2024, 11:54 pmHi everyone...just wanting to see if anyone has been to South Africa and if so, how you did it? Did you go alone or with a tour company? Which company did you go with? Did you do a Safari and with who? Recommendations?
Thanks

I went from Cape Town to Durban via the Garden Route - it was an amazing trip with a mixed group mainly from the UK. I would recommend either an orgaised tour or doing something like the BazBus which is like a backpacker bus service taking in the main destinations. Cape Town is spectacular don't miss is!! Crime is a big issue so always follow local advice. For safaris there are so many options inc the Kruger Park.

Quote from gbaa on November 15, 2024, 1:38 pmI went to SA and loved it!! I went through a travel agent in the UK and booked with a tour company called Kuoni. It was a little bit more expensive but it was worth it for the food and the nice hotels. On the tour we did a couple of safaris, we did 2 in the Kruger National Park one was a night one and the other a full day one. We did one later on in the tour further south but i cant remember where, i think it was a water one in St Lucia?!?!
