Tips for first time camp counselors

I'm totally new to this and want to apply either for 2025 or the year after. It sounds amazing although I can't be the only one thinking its a little daunting!! Can any past staff share what you wish you had known before becoming a camp counselor? Any advice to be a good camp counslor? Or anything to help?

Be friendly, open minded, try to make as many friends as possible and enjoy every minute. Some days are long/tiring, but the weeks fly by. Take every opportunity to travel too.

Omg just go and enjoy every minute!! Summer goes super fast, and make sure you make the most of your time and travel too.
