Travel to Canada after Camp (Visa Question)

Hello
I'm hoping to go up to Niagara falls after camp but my visa will likely be expired and I will be in my grace period by then so I assume if I go into Canada I wont be able to get back into the States again? Is this correct?
If so am I able to leave and come back in on a tourist visa under the visa waiver scheme?

Yes you are correct - however it is up to the border official's discretion whether he/she will allow you to reenter the US under the Visa waiver scheme. You will probably also need to complete an ESTA (which is the electronic visa waiver application) online. Make sure that you have onward travel from the US (ie a ticket home)
