Volunteer in Africa for free
Can anyone suggest a project to help in Africa but without paying a fee? Are there any free projects you can recommend? I like the idea of going to volunteer somewhere like South Africa or Kenya but I don't understand why I need to pay to do this when its volunteering?
Have you thought about searching/contacting NGO's, humanitarian orgs or charities? Surely these will be free/or offer stipends.

Did you manage to find somewhere? I'm just looking now and find the prices quite expensive as I want to go for at least 4 weeks.
