What is the best VPN to use for travel
Quote from joe_bristol on November 17, 2024, 10:42 pmHi, what does everyone think is the best Virtual Personal Network service to use while travelling international and long-term? Most of my communications aren't sensitive or need a VPN, so I am only interested in using a VPN when doing things online like banking especially when connected to public WiFi. Any suggestions, there seems to many and most aren't cheap. Thanks, Joe.

Quote from AdventureHannah on January 31, 2025, 7:08 pmI researched this recently and ended up going with Private Internet Access. It's quite cheap at $6.95 a month. Depends on why you want it, though. Protection at internet cafes for your passwords? I think Hide My Ass has a free version that will do this for you. Watching U.S. based services? Paid VPN service for sure - all the free ones use a small enough # of IP addresses that the companies like Netflix, Hulu, Comedy Central, etc. easily block known VPNs.
Hope that helps!
