What's the food like on a Contiki tour
Quote from CatherineOz on November 15, 2024, 12:37 pmI was just wondering. I'm a really picky eater, sadly, and i was just wondering the types of food that you get included, and stuff like that. cause I don't want to do a long tour, if i won't like the food and starve ! 😛
Thanks for your help!

Quote from gbaa on November 15, 2024, 1:57 pmI did the Ultimate European and I found the food to be really good - all bar one meal, which isn't bad for 45 days!
I'm quite picky myself and wondered how I would go, but it was all good. One of my close friends on the tour said she was vegetarian as she thought she'd have better food. In some places she got nice stuff, but in most places she got those awful vegetarian patties.
You can also request no red meat meals, so you get the other foods like chicken but don't have to eat beef or lamb.
Almost everywhere we went the were at least 2 options for dinner, usually more, so it suited everyone. No complaints here.
Hope this helps.

Quote from AussieMitch on November 17, 2024, 3:15 pmAs I recall the Vegetarians weren't loving their food. But it depends on the type of tour too. In Europe vegetarian hasn't caught on like it has in other places so many places don't offer anything special (and in some places bad food). Generally the food is nothing special, pretty basic types of food. You'll pretty much always have soup or salad with dinner then a main course - often some type of chicken and maybe a dessert.
