Working in hostels for free accommodation
Hi everyone! I'm currently working as an au pair in Spain and have a year-long Spanish youth mobility visa. I'm hoping to do a hostel work exchange, and I have a couple of questions. First of all, what are some good resources to find interested hostel work exchange programs? I was also wondering if it's possible to do a hostel work exchange in another European country for a month or so without getting another visa. I'd also love to hear about anyone's experiences working in hostels on their travels and how they made it happen. Thanks so much!
You can probably get more specific answers if you go around locally to speak direct to hostels where you are.
You might also contact a hostel association to see if they have a job board. Areas that have a high season for travel may hire in advance to plan for that, but for a normal place on a normal day, you will just need to find a place that has a vacancy.
